Machine Learning Engineer – From Algorithms to Impact

We are now looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Business Unit within Software & Control Systems in Skanderborg or Ballerup, where we develop smart solutions that combine engineering expertise with cutting-edge digital technologies.

About the Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll be involved in designing and deploying intelligent systems that solve real-world problems. Working closely with colleagues across software, business, and domain disciplines, you’ll help build AI tools that make an impact.

You will:

• Develop and deploy ML models including reinforcement learning and computer vision systems
• Work with image and video data to deliver real-time analytics
• Integrate LLM-based capabilities using OpenAI API and Azure AI Services
• Contribute to MLOps pipelines using Docker, CI/CD, and version control
• Participate in shaping internal AI tooling and scalable deployment strategies
• Design and fine-tune deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, and classification
• Apply NLP techniques for tasks such as text summarization, entity recognition, and prompt engineering

Projects are diverse and often tailored to our clients’ industries—from manufacturing to energy—and you’ll play a hands-on role throughout development and implementation.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a solution-oriented and technically skilled engineer with a strong drive to apply AI practically.

We value:

• Higher university degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field
• Strong Python skills with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Background in computer vision, NLP, or reinforcement learning
• Experience with Azure AI tools such as Foundry or Prompt Flows
• Familiarity with OpenAI API and LLM integration
• Knowledge of containerization and automation (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Git)
• Ability to communicate research outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences

It’s a plus if you have experience with web-based AI applications, sector knowledge in energy or manufacturing, or can demonstrate business-oriented thinking in how you apply AI to measurable outcomes.
