Tech Lead – Embedded & High-Level Software (C++ & DevOps)

At DIS/CREADIS, we’re looking for an experienced Tech Lead who can take ownership of technical direction across projects that span both embedded systems and high-level software development. Our customers operate in automation, energy, industrial machinery and other engineering-heavy domains — and we rely on senior engineers who can combine deep technical expertise with leadership and the ability to communicate clearly in a consultancy setting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, working across layers, and guiding both customers and team members towards well-engineered, reliable solutions.

Your role

As a Tech Lead, you’ll be responsible for setting the technical course on projects, ensuring both architecture and implementation meet high standards. You’ll work hands-on with software while also coaching others, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring alignment between customer needs and engineering decisions.

You will:

• Lead the design and architecture of hybrid embedded–high-level software solutions
• Develop and review software in modern C++ for embedded or semi-embedded platforms
• Contribute to high-level components, integrations, tools or services in languages such as C#, Python or similar
• Guide DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, testing and process improvements
• Define technical strategies, break down complex problems and ensure consistency across teams
• Act as a primary technical contact for customers — translating requirements into robust solutions
• Mentor engineers at different experience levels and support knowledge sharing
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams (electronics, automation, software, etc.)
• Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, quality assurance, documentation and process guidance

This role would suit an engineer who enjoys setting direction as much as solving challenges hands-on.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a tech lead profile who combines strong engineering skills, broad system understanding and the mindset of a consultant.

You bring:

• Extensive experience (typically 6–12 years) within embedded, system-level or high-level software
• Strong expertise in C++ (C++11/14/17 or newer)
• Understanding of embedded concepts (real-time behaviour, memory constraints, hardware interaction)
• Experience with DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing frameworks, scripting
• Ability to contribute to high-level development (C#, Python or similar)
• Experience designing architecture and breaking down complex systems
• Strong communication skills and confidence in customer-facing roles
• Ability to mentor, guide and coordinate technical direction across teams
• A proactive, structured and quality-driven mindset
• Desire to raise the bar — both for yourself and the teams you lead
