Fette Compacting is a leading producer of machinery for industrial tablet and capsule manufacturing. W
hen they needed to relieve their internal electrical engineering department for a limited period, they contacted DIS/CREADIS. DIS/CREADIS was tasked with reviewing and proofing master plans, preparing production and customer plans, building, and expanding symbol databases, and programming a script for creating an I/O table.
Challenges
Fette Compacting’s primary challenge was the lack of internal resources to process some specific projects. They required assistance to relieve their internal electrical engineering department for a limited period of time. Moreover, preparing P&ID plans proved to be a difficult task as it required additional specialist knowledge of construction and process engineering and a thorough understanding of the company’s machines and work processes.
Solution

They were able to thoroughly learn the entire manufacturing process and all relevant standards to make the necessary adjustments of the E³-database. They updated the relevant components of the master projects and prepared plans in close and regular consultation with the responsible Fette Compacting employees.
