Mekoprint is a Danish company that produces and supplies components including micromechanical components, metal solutions, EMI shielding, industrial graphic solutions, and more. They were contacted by JCDecaux Sweden to further develop and produce a bus shelter for the Swedish city of Gävle. However, the project required skills that Mekoprint did not possess. They needed an experienced engineering service provider to complete their project for JCDecaux.
The main challenge was to redesign the bus shelter to meet Swedish standards and increase its length from 4 meters to 8 meters. The project required detailed calculations to ensure that the new design met all the requirements, and 3D models were needed for various presentation materials. Additionally, user manuals were necessary to explain how to assemble and install the various parts of the shelter when the entire structure was built.
DIS/CREADIS was able to provide Mekoprint with the necessary skills to complete the project successfully. They developed a design for the bus shelter and did all the necessary calculations to ensure that it met Swedish standards. They also produced 3D models for various presentation materials and made suggestions for user manuals explaining how to assemble and install the various parts of the shelter. DIS/CREADIS' commitment and expertise were key to the successful execution of the project.
Mekoprint chose DIS/CREADIS for this project because of their expertise in designing and developing complex technical solutions. They had worked with DIS/CREADIS on previous projects and had benefited greatly from their expertise and consultants. Mekoprint knew that they could rely on DIS/CREADIS to provide them with the necessary skills to solve the challenges they faced in this project. The commitment shown by DIS/CREADIS, and the quality of their work exceeded Mekoprint’s expectations, and they were pleased with the project execution. The partnership between Mekoprint and DIS/CREADIS demonstrates the importance of working with the right partner to achieve success in complex technical projects.
“We have been pleased with the project execution and have experienced a great commitment from DIS/CREADIS. We realize that we are probably a small customer in comparison to other customers at such a large engineering company, but the consultants from DIS have done a really good job and we have felt that we got a little bit more than we expected,” explains Jakob Stautz, Business Unit Director at Mekoprint.
