How DIS/CREADIS streamlined the transition of ZF’s Cherry to an independent international enterprise
ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a major German technology company that supports various industries, including the automotive industry, acquired a company called Cherry, which develops mechanical keyboards. DIS/CREADIS was approached by ZF Friedrichshafen to assist in optimizing and developing Cherry as a self-sufficient and independent international company with its own corporate structure and management.
Challenges
DIS/CREADIS was tasked with developing a global and operational independent business structure, implementing customized business processes, and establishing production locations in six different countries, among other objectives. In addition, DIS/CREADIS had to provide advice on legal, customs and taxation, production, and technical issues, as well as finance, controlling, and accounting. Separating IT systems was also a large topic that needed to be addressed.
Solution
DIS/CREADIS put together a multidisciplinary team with many years of experience in management and optimization of companies to address the various objectives and requirements defined by the management team at ZF Friedrichshafen and key employees at Cherry. Over a period of six months, the team was able to successfully complete the project, which included the development of a global and operational independent business structure, implementation of customized business processes, and establishment of production locations in China, Germany, England, France, Czech Republic, and USA. DIS/CREADIS also provided advice on legal aspects, customs and taxation, production, and technical issues, as well as finance, controlling, and accounting. Separation of IT systems was also addressed and DIS/CREADIS provided support with a select team.
