With a remarkable profile in the renewable energy sector, Mads-Ole Astrupgaard will bring a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to the Board.

Engineers from DIS/CREADIS are working actively as volunteers in Engineers Without Borders and have now developed and tested a solution to collect the large amounts of waste in Aberdeen Creek, a lagoon in Sierra Leone’s capital.

CREADIS and TIB Molbiol have developed an automated PCR testing machine that can evaluate 60 PCR tests per hour per machine.

Danish SerEnergy is among the world’s leading providers of methanol-based fuel cell development and production. The entire ecosystem behind the company is completely sustainable. The sources are solar and wind energy, and methanol, which is used in the process for storing the energy. It is a water-soluble and easily biodegradable chemical that is most commonly used industrially today. This results in zero CO2 emissions, something the whole world is demanding, and on which SerEnergy is currently working. DIS has been part of this mission.

FLSmidth has developed the OK™ Mills using 3D tools, including SolidWorks, which made it possible to utilize the parametric modeling option in the program. DIS acted as a daily partner with a consultant based at FLSmidth, who assisted in the design of components using parametric modeling in SolidWorks for design automation. The project focused on three different sizes of the FLSmidth OK™ Mill. Additionally, DIS was involved in the further development of the equipment for special transport, as FLSmidth’s products have a size that makes transport challenging. For instance, the rollers for the mills are approximately two meters in diameter and weigh around 30 tons.
